Zoom Player has always been one of our favorite media players and over the years, it hasn't made too many modifications to the main interface, yet has managed to add tons of new customizations.
Zoom Player is extremely fast and while programs like VLC Media Player have become popular freeware alternatives, Zoom Player manages to beat VLC in almost every aspect. The program includes several very useful features such as video playlists, an editor which allows you to specify points on the video to easily move through and a beautiful full screen window which includes a playback bar. The playback bar includes 10 different buttons which do various things without leaving full screen.
One of the other things that we found useful with Zoom Player Professional is the various functions of the mouse wheel. You can configure the mouse wheel to make various adjustments to the playback, but the most useful we found were probably the zooming and volume functions.
This version of Zoom Player Professional supports playback of different video formats, with the most popular being ASF, ASX, AVI, MPG, MPEG, VOB and WM. Of course, WMV is certainly supported, too.
Overall, this program plays back media beautifully and the sheer speed and stability of Zoom Player is enough to switch over.
Zoom Player Max can play DVD video and play bluray video.
Zoom Player WMV Professional is licensed as Shareware for the Windows operating system / platform from video players and can be used as a free trial until the trial period ends (after 30 days). The Zoom Player WMV Professional 10.1 demo is available to all software users as a free download with potential restrictions and is not necessarily the download of the full version.
Compatibility with this software may vary, but will generally run fine under Microsoft Windows 8, 8.1, 7, Vista and XP on either a 32-bit or 64-bit setup. A separate x64 version may be available from Inmatrix.
We have tested Zoom Player Max 10.1 against malware with several different programs. We certify that this program is clean of viruses, malware and trojans. [Read more]
